[DeckReciPie] Golden GaGaGas (9/4/2014)

This deck is like NEVER complete!
I'm always adding and subtracting from it :3

This deck is no where near being competitive, it takes a few turns to set up; basically is really slow in comparison to most of the current formats competitive decks. I'd love to make this one competitive because it was the first deck I put together myself (originally it was made based around a Utopia starter deck but I liked the feel of the GaGaGas so I made it a GaGaGa deck instead), but for now it's my fun deck. I'm calling it Gold GaGaGas because when Premium Gold came out I made all the cards in this deck from that set that could be gold, gold :3). Anyways my nettaversers, if you're looking for a really good deck this isn't the one. It's made to be fun to play, and can pretty much make any XYZ you want because of GaGaGa Magician and Girl! This deck is also pretty big... it's not at the 40 cards size that most balanced decks are at. Lastly, this post is probably going to be pretty long and constantly edited as I make changes. If you have any suggestions, feel free to make them just don't say "needs GaGaGa Sister" cause... I know, but she was taken away from me during PRIO!

Main Deck Size: 45
# of Monsters: 18
# of Spells: 19
# of Traps: 8
Extra Deck Size: 15
# of XYZs: 15

Monster Line Up:

Run at 1.
+Banish a LIGHT and DARK
monster from your grave to bring
this guy out from your hand.
+Banishes a monster, but the cost is
you don't get to attack with him.
+If you battle and destroy a monster,
you get to attack a second time.

 Run at 1.
+When you take damage, you special summon
Gorz from your hand and if battle damage
summon a token that has atk and def equal to
the damage taken. If effect damage, inflict that to your
opponent the same amount you took.

 Run at 2.
+Another card where you banish one
LIGHT and one DARK to bring it out.
+Banishes 1 card from the field, but
can't attack the turn you activate this
effect.

Run at 3.
+Copies the level of GaGaGa Magician.
+When XYZ summoned, you can target
a special summoned monster your opponent controls,
it's atk becomes 0. (I often forget to use this effect)

 Run at 3.
+Once per turn you can declare
a level between 1-8, this card becomes
that level till the end of the turn.
-Can't be used as synchro materiaL (but thats
ok cause this is meant to be an XYZ deck)

Run at 2.
+When summoned, you can special
summon a level 4 or lower monster
from your hand then put this card to
defense position.
+Easy way to get a Utopia or even Gem
Knight Pearl out there to have some defense.

Run at 2.
+Once per turn you can discard a
spell card to special summon a
level 4 monster from your deck.
-That monster can not attack this turn,
so this is a good chance to XYZ summon
something such as Silent Honor Ark.

Run at 3.
+I often use King of the Feral Imps
to pull this guy from my deck.
+Is a defensive card that comes out when
you or a monster is being attacked.
+Banishing target.

Run at 2.
+Negates an opponents on field
monster effect for a turn by dropping her
to the graveyard.
+Also a light banishing target.

Spell Line Up:
Common cards seen in other decks-
Pot of Duality x2
Soul Charge x1
Dark Hole x1
Book of Moon x1
MST x2

Run at 1.
-Be careful when you use this! I've
often had to drop my entire hand b/c
I risked drawing cards when I didn't
have a dark to banish from my hand.

Run at 2.
+Searches out a GaGaGa, only downside
is you have to drop an additional card
from hand to activate this card.

Run at 2.
+When your opponent controlls a
monster and you control none, special
summon a GaGaGa from your deck.
-Can't special summon any other way
this turn except by XYZ.

Run at 2.
+I like to call this the better MST.
+Target a back row card, destroy that target.
Opponent can not activate said card in
response.

Trap Line Up:
Common cards found in other decks-
Bottomless Trap Hole x1
Torrential Tribute x1
Compulsory Evacuation Device x1
Fiendish Chain x1
Call of the Haunted x1
Dark Bribe x1

Run at 1.
+Negates all other traps on the
field the turn this card is activated.

Run at 1.
+Unlike Dark Bribe, this doesn't give
your opponent a free draw but instead stops
a trap card and shuffles it into their deck.

Extra Deck Line Up:
Number 74: Master of Blades x1
Photon Strike Bouncer x1
Number 61: Volcasaurus x1
Gem Knight Pearl x1
Number 39: Utopia x2
King of the Feral Imps x1
Blade Armor Ninja x1
Number 50: Black Ship of Corn x1
Number 101: Silent Honor Ark x1
Downered Magician x1
Number 82: Heartlanddraco x1
Diamond Dire Wolf x1
Gagaga Cowboy x1
Number 17: Leviathan Dragon x1

Side Deck Line Up:
Photon Thrasher x1
Photon Papill x1
Maestroke the Symphany Djinn x1
Gagaga Tag x1
Soul Charge x1
MST x1
Phoenix Wing Windblast x2
Call of the Haunted x2
Wire Tap x1
Dark Bribe x1

Edits I haven't decided on how to make yet:
+One thing I'm really debating on is to run 2 Dark Bribes or 2 Wire Taps. I might even just main 2-3 Phoenix Wing Windblasts if I want to make this deck competitive. Heck, I have enough cards to make a second version of this deck... maybe that'll be the competitive version.
+I haven't decided if I want to keep Gorz as a main deck card or side him. I've also been debating on putting back in Tragodia.
+I used to have Photon Thrasher as a main deck card before I got my Effect Veilers so I'm trying to decide if he should be a side deck card.
+Spell Absorption is good for baiting out MSTs and other such cards, but I haven't decided if 2 is a good number to have.

[DeckRecipie] Gustos- Sphreez (9/2/2014)

This is what I like to call my shiny girly beat down deck!

Gusto's were the first deck I completed in under a week (Ghost Tricks took me about 3 because getting Alucards was a bit difficult). I was pretty darn proud of myself for completing them in the timely manner that I did because the shop owner where I was getting the cards from had been working on the deck as well but since I was closer to completion than he was, a deal was worked out for me to get the cards there were few of. When I built the deck Pilica hadn't been released yet to in her place was Junk Syncron for a while. Also when I originally built this I didn't run the Spell Absorptions but otherwise the deck is how it was when originally built. This deck isn't really competitive (I feel is it much too slow), but I am working on a build that can be. Ideally this deck is made to bring out Sphreez! This is definitely a much more synchro heavy deck than my Dragon Rulers.

Main Deck Size: 40
# of Monsters: 21
# of Spells: 12
# of Traps: 7
Extra Deck Size: 15
# of XYZs: 2
# of Synchros: 13

Monster Line-up:

Run at 1 (it's limited to that)
+Can be brought out from hand or grave
by banishing 2 wind types.
+A good back-up when you have nothing
to bring out.
-Doesn't use the foolish burial effect
because this is the only dragon in the deck.
+Can be used as a tribute to bring something
bigger Gusto wise such as Reeze.

Run at 2.
+Acts as monster swap.
+Also a way to get dead cards
back into your deck for a draw later
on in the same.

Run at 1.
+Negates on field effects.
+Shuffles a Gusto monster
from your graveyard back into
the deck (this is also a way to
get Sphreeze back into the
extra deck).

Run at 2.
+Shuffles gustos back into the deck
and lets you draw a card.
+As all other level 4s
XYZ material for Emeral.

Run at 2.
+While in graveyard after battle phase
can special summon a wind psychic
type from the deck.

Run at 2.
+Acts like Junk Synchron.
+Brings a tuner from the grave when
normal or special summon (by an effect
such as Emergency Telliport).

Run at 3.
+Pilica target.
+When sent to the grave from
battle, special summons a level
2 or lower Gusto from the deck.

Run at 3.
+Pilica Target.
+When sent to the grave from
battle, special summons a level
4 or lower Gusto non-tuner.

Run at 3.
+When destroyed by battle, special
summons a gusto tuner from the deck.
+Like other level 2s, can make
the XYZ Daigusto Phoenix.

Run at 2.
+On flip, summons a
gusto tuner from the deck.

Spells Line Up:
Common cards seen in decks-
MST x3
Dark Hole x1

Run at 2.
+Shuffles wind monsters back into your deck
and allows you to target one card on the field,
return this card to hand.

Run at 1.
+Straight forward spell that lets
you take control of a monster on
your enemies side.
-Can not declare an attack or be
tributed.
+Can be used for XYZ summoning.

Run at 3.
+Special summons a level 3 or lower psychic type
monster from your deck, but during the end phase
you have to banish that monster.
+Use with Pilica when you have a lvl 3 tuner
in the grave to make Sphreeze.

Run at 2.
+As long as this card remains on
your side of the field, you gain
500 LP for every spell played on
either side of the field.
+Run at 2 in case run is gotten
rid of.

Trap Line Up:
Common cards seen in other decks-
Bottomless Trap Hole x1
Compulsory Evactuation Device x1
Call of the Haunted x1
Dark Bribe x1
Solemn Warning x1
Dimensional Prison x2

Extra Deck:
Colossal Fighter x1
Stardust Dragon x1
Daigusto Eguls x2
Black Rose Dragon x1
Daigusto Sphreeze x2
Magical Android x1
Ally of Justice Catastor x1
Daigusto Gulldos x2
Daigusto Falcos x1
Mist Bird x1
Daigusto Emeral x1
Daigusto Phoenix x1

Side Deck:
Ultimate Axon Kicker x2
Mist Bird x1
Photon Papill x1
Number 48: Shadow Lich x1
Miracle Synchro Fusion x2
Soul Charge x2
Forbidden Lance x1
Phoenix Wing Wind Blast x3

[AOW] Persona 4: The Golden (8/31-9/6/2014)

[Previous AOWs][Akia's MyAnimeList][Akia on Facebook]

No need for me to front with you, but when I first heard that P4: The Golden was getting the anime treatment like Persona 4 did... I was a bit wary. I didn't really like the animation style of the first anime (I mean look at this picture, everyone seems to have some form of a 5 o'clock shadow >.>while this looked cool in the game yet much more unnoticeable, on screen in anime format this made the coloring look awkward on the eyes much like how in Gankutsuou the weird photo shop layers took some time to get used to). So far I am relieved to say it has been much easier on the eyes!

Type: Vita Game Adaptation
Genre(s): Comedy, Adventure, Mystery, School, Scifi
# of Ep(s): 12
Synopsis:
The protagonist is a high school student who has recently moved from a large city to Inaba, where he is to live and attend school for a year. At school, he quickly becomes friends with Yosuke Hanamura, the somewhat-clumsy son of the manager of the local Junes megastore; Chie Satonaka, an energetic girl with a strong interest in martial arts; and Yukiko Amagi, a calm and refined girl who helps out at her family's inn. A few days into the game, the protagonist, Yosuke, and Chie follow the "Midnight Channel" rumor, which leads them to discover the TV World and meet Teddie, a friendly creature that appears as a hollow bear costume. Using Personas, the students form an Investigation Team to investigate the connection between the TV world and the murders, and possibly capture the culprit. the group gains new members, including: Kanji Tatsumi, a male delinquent who has a talent for feminine hobbies;Rise Kujikawa, a former teen idol trying to find her identity who moves to Inaba as a transfer student;and Naoto Shirogane, a young female detective investigating the case with the local police who wears masculine clothing and presents herself as male due to fear of rejection.

[DeckRecipie] Mythic BE Dragon Rulers (Aug 27 2014)

This deck is my pride and joy.

Over the course of the past 8 months it's gone through about 4-5 reworks, the most major one being from having no Skill Drains to having 2. Originally this deck was made based on the Blue Eyes White Dragon structure deck, which means it only had the dragon rulers added and one of each of the mythics (tree/water dragons). While it was a good deck, it wasn't competitive. When this deck was originally built it didn't run Influence Dragon, the card troopers, Miracle Dig, the soul charges, Raigeki Break nor the Dragonincarnation; and it was a solid 40 card deck. Ever since it's last rework this deck has been serving me well. Most duelist would say it's a cheap deck to run, but those who are true to the game know this deck requires a lot of skill- especially skill in remembering how timing works and the order of which you should do the combos :3

Main Deck Size: 41
# of Monsters: 16
# of Spells: 13
# of Traps: 12
Extra Deck Size: 15
# of XYZs: 9
# of Synchros: 6

Monster Line-up:
 Run 1 of Each.
+Heart of the deck.
+Brings themselves out from the Graveyard
and your hand by banishing 2 dragons or a
monster of their given element (wind, earth, fire,
water). But be careful, you only have so many
materials ;D They each also have a special ability
such as Foolish Burial. Just read 'em!
+Used for synchros.
+Used for fancy XYZs such as
Dracosack!

Run at 2.
+Useful for cards such as Trade-in to draw 2.
+Used as Synchro material for cards such as
Leo and Star Eater.
+Can also be used as XYZ material for cards such
as Heliopolis and Felgrand that require 2 lvl 8s.
-Not a target for any of the Dragon Rulers is probably
the only downside to running this card, but it can be
used as banishing material to bring a Dragon Ruler out.

Run at 2.
+Useful for Cards of Consonance to draw 2.
+Necessary for synchro cards such as Scrap Dragon
Stardust and Stardust Spark.
-No real XYZ purpose.
+Fire target for the Dragon Ruler Blaster.
+Pretty good when summoned in face down defense
position due to it's high defense.

Run at 2.
+ Run in conjuction with the
Mythic Water Dragon. Use effect
to make it a level 8 which helps
make cards such as Heliopolis.
+Target for the Dragon Ruler Redox.

Run at 2.
+Useful for cards such as Trade-in to draw 2.
+Used as Synchro material for cards such as
Leo and Star Eater.
+Can also be used as XYZ material for cards such
as Heliopolis and Felgrand that require 2 lvl 8s.
+Target for the Dragon Ruler Tidal.

 Run at 2.
+VERY useful in getting dragons to
the graveyard via it's dropping effect.
-Not really useful for syncing.
-Not really used for XYZs.
+Target for the Dragon Ruler Redox.
+Can be used for Star Eater.

Run at 1.
+Used mainly as synchro material.
+Used with Cards of Consonance to draw 2.
+Can bring a dragon out from the graveyard when
normal summoned.
+Target for Dragon Ruler Tempest.

Run at 1.
-Effect doesn't really come in handy since
most of the cards you will be running are
already dragons.
+Synchro material for Black Rose (currently
I use this as a side card because it's ran in my
Gusto's) when ran.
+Also a Tempest target.
+Use with Cards of Consonance to draw 2.

Spells Line Up:

Run at 1.
-Not really reccomended to run more than
one because it becomes a dead card in
hand.
+Since you will be banishing a lot in this
build, this card will get 3 removed from
play monsters back into the graveyard!

Run at 2 (side 1).
+You will be running level 8s, this gets them
not only into the grave from hand but gives
you an additional draw of 2 cards.
-Only works for level 8 monsters, but don't worry
this is why the next spell card comes into play.

 Run at 2 (side 1).
+Using the tuners of this deck, drop one to
grave for an additional 2 card draw.

Run at 3.
+This deck relies on having materials in
the graveyard, and this card gets them there.
+Drops 2 dragons into the grave
(1 non-effect, and one with an effect).

Run at 1-2.
+Brings monsters from the grave
without having to pay a cost other
than skipping your battle phase. This
has allowed me to make Scrap and
Stardust Spark in the same turn which
has won me games.

  Run at 1.
+Banishes a monster, which I've
used before to get either the Tree Dragon
or Water Dragon by banishing either
Tidal or Redox.
+Really impress your play mates
by running the gold rarity of this ;D

Run at 2-3.
+Fairly straight forward card that
gets rid of a card on your opponents
back row.
-They can activate said card in
response if able to.
Traps Line Up:

  Run at 2.
+Can get rid of almost anything
on the field as long as you have
something to drop (which is fine
because we love having stuff in
our graveyard for this deck)

Run at 2.
+Fairly straight forward trap
that returns a banished dragon
to your hand rather than the
grave which Miracle Dig does.

Run at 1.
+Pretty much a staple card.
+Prevents your opponent from summoning
a monster (or monsters) with 1500 atk.

Run at 2-3.
+Was reccomended to me  to
run at 3, but I've liked running
it at 1 but I might put the 3rd
back in one day.

Run at 1.
+This is an answer card to
your opponent attacking.
+Usually saved to get rid
of more than one monster,
but it just depends on how
the match goes.

Run at 1.
+Gets rid of monsters.
-Unfortunately this includes yours
as well.

Run at 2.
+Pay 1000 life points to
negate on field effects, which
include your own monsters
and your opponents.

 Run at 1.
+pay 2000 life points to prevent a
pesky summon.

Extra Deck Line Up:
Star Eater x1

Scrap Dragon x1

Number 62: Galaxy-eyes Prime Dragon x1

MST x1
Burial From a Different Dimension x1
Skill Drain x1
Colossal Fighter x1
Black Rose Dragon x1
Trident Dragon x1

Edits:
9/1/2014- It was suggested instead of the Raigeki Breaks to run Phoenix Wing Windblast.
