[Akia's Collection] (Q-Joy) Tsuruya-san + some guests

The newest addition to my collection of anime goods (you know figures, Gundam models, etc etc). She is the ditsy Tsuruya-san from the Haruhi universe. I bought her at Nice Cube, a local El Paso otaku shop. She was a pain to put together, and a few of the joints I had to add putty to hold >.> If you do not live in El Paso and would like your own (there's no guarantee that you'll get Tsuruya though since she's a boxed trading figure) you can get a set of 8 here for $21.96 because there is currently a sale going down.

Tsuruya is joined by Android 18 from Dragon Ball Z (the blond in the back) and The Major from Ghost in the shell. That poster in the back is Lelouch from Code Geass. I purchased all of these at Nice Cube! The Major was purchased during my first trip to Nice Cube, of which at the time I did not live a few minuets from the shop.

[Drama of the Week] Keitai Sousakan 7 (7/4-10/2010)

Taking the place of a previous Under ANCHOR agent, Keita is paired up with Phone Braver 7, a cellphone robot. But in the process, the two learn of a conspiracy within ANCHOR itself tied to its mysterious ex-agent Magira.

[Anime of the Week] (7/4-10/2010) Trigun

Trigun was one of the first anime I anticipated watching. Ya, there was Sailor Moon and Cardcaptors, but Trigun was the one I truly felt I had to watch. To this day it remains one of my favorite anime, and one of the few I have memories of watching back in the day when I was a newb otaku ^__^

Runtime: 30min/ep
Rating: 13+
Synopsis:
Vash the Stampede is a gunman on the run with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head which has made it difficult for him to go anywhere without being chased and shot at. Every town he ever visits ends up being destroyed because of his pursuers, but miraculously no one ever gets killed. Meryl and Milly are two insurance agents that have been sent to find Vash the Stampede and keep him under surveillance so no more damage is caused. Meryl, who leads the pair, refuses to believe that the man they have met can possibly be the legendary gunman. This spikey haired, gangly, young man is extremely friendly, a pacifist, hates blood and suicide, absolutely loves donuts, and is a dork and a crybaby (far from a notorious outlaw). But there is more to Vash and his past than meets the eye.

[Anime of the Week] Black Jack (6/21-7/3/2010)

I feel in live with the franchise that is Black Jack back when I saw the movie The Surgeon with the Hands of God and then the special The 4 Miracles of Life. I recently started watching the TV series and am loving every minute of this. You know when a show is based on one of the God of Manga Tezuka's series you know that it is gunna be really good!

Runtime:
TV Series': 30min/ep
Special: 30min/ep
Movie: 105min
Rating:
TV Series'/Special: 13+
Movie: 16+
Synopsis:
Black Jack is an "unregistered" doctor with a clouded, mysterious past. He works with his little assistant Pinoko (who has a massive crush on the doctor), dealing with medical cases not very well known, which can be strange, dangerous, or not known at all. But he is a genius, and can save almost any of his patients' life (as long as they have the money for it, that is), and is known to many around the world, especially to those of medicine and science. He's a man of science himself, and does not believe much until he has seen it, yet it is many times he is surprised by love and nature often overpowering the science he bases his life in.
