FUNimation Got It [#1]

Since FUNimation is such a whore,
I decided to create a blog series to rant
about their awsomeness (and sometimes
piss me off-ness). Lolllll

Since this is the first blog in the series, I'm gonna post about all the anime they've acquired that I find interesting that are fairly recent. Feel free to leave your comments =D

Hmmm... I did not bother watching this when it came out in Japan BUT I was reading the manga when it was being serialized in Yen+. I'll probably watch it since Yen+ no longer serializes the manga. [check]

I've been excited about the FUNi release of Sgt. Frog since I heard the rumors last year about it getting licensed at all. The first 3 dubbed episodes have a premier at this years Otakon. I'm a little scared though because I just watched the test episode FUNi released on their YouTube and they changed a lot.... such as names and character traits that are neccessary for the show to be worthy of being called Sgt. Frog. [check]

*sigh* This is a very interesting liscense and one that pisses me off. FUNi took the rights to this anime much in the same way they did with RomeoxJuliet. RxJ was not streamed online like Shikibane-hime (Corpse Princess) is, but I'm still upset because I don't know when I'll be able to buy the DVDs even though this show has been out for a small while now. I already bought the first part of the series (13 episodes) and am pretty pleased with the dub. The voices aren't bad, it's the cheesy story. Haha. I waited almost 2 years for this and I'm really excited for the second part of the series. [check]

I watched the first episode back when the fansubs were being released... but I was watching so much at the time I dropped this one despite people telling me how good it is. So, I'm excited to watch this one. [check]

Apparently this show is really good because it was popular when being subbed AND has a second season. I might watch it, but it has that video game feel and I don't like video game type anime all that much. .hack// is the only one I ever really liked. [ex]

My Bride is a Mermaid: Haha, I'm only looking forward to this one because it seems like it'll be like all those visual novel based anime I love. [check]

El Cazador De La Bruja: It's probably going to be like NOIR and Madlax.... [ex]

Rin ~ Daughters of Mnemosyne~: I watched the first 2 episodes by downloading subs, but I stopped in order to wait for the dubbed version. [check]

Slam Dunk: I really enjoyed the manga back when it was serialized in Shounen Jump, so I just might watch this. Probably one of the few sports anime (besides Eyeshield 21) I'd bother watching. [check]

Digimon Adventure 2.0: I'm a huge Digi-fan!! [check]

Captain Harlock: Not sure. [ex]

Galaxy Express 999: Ohhh, interesing premise AND the possiblilities of cyborgs. I'm sold. [check]

Pretty Cure: I'm still wondering why this is being liscenced after about a million seasons of this anime has been released in Japan, but since it's an over rated anime I don't really want to watch it. [check]

Air Master: hmmm.... [ex]

Phantom ~Reqium for the Phantom~: I started watching it and found it to be ok. [check]
