[Summer 2010 Anime] Initial Impressions [Part 1]

Impressions: Going into this anime, I was expecting hard core pantsu shots and soft core porn moments... I was pretty much right xD This anime is based on a manga by a hentai artist. Overall, the first 3 episodes aren't bad. It is a Prodiction IG anime so it is beautiful, but the story isn't all that great. The main girl character is a cry baby, and the main guy is typical. I already dislike that teacher introduced in episode 3. That's about all I have to say other than that HILARIOUS moment in episode one where that girl is pushed down the stairs and while the zombies are bitting her, her stomach has a lot of bowl movements... wait, that's more gross.

Impressions: Wow... episode one was crud yet hilarious then episode 2 was just plain gross! I'm still a bit hesitant to continue with this one...... despite episode one being so funny.

Impressions: =D Oh ho ho, it's the anime to replace that hole in my heart Nyan Koi left! It's like a mix of Dearz and Chobits... but this one is actually pretty good based on the 2 episodes I've seen. The first episode starts out with a pretty cool action scene.

Impressions: Eh... it's interesting. It kind of has that Ghost Hound feeling but it lacks. Ghost Hound was compelling, this is just trying a bit too much to be a horror.

[Drama of the Week] Aquarian Age (7/18-31/2010)

First off, I'd like to apologize for an almost 2 week hiatus with my blog. I just got a bit lazy with the blog and a bit busy with finding a job and going on vacation this past weekend.

not to be confused with Aquarian Age the anime. Both are based on a card game, but the drama movie is vastly different from the anime and the ova.

Synopsis:

The story focuses on several high school boys who discover that they inherited latent genetic traits — among other things, wings that sprout out of their backs. They soon find themselves caught in a millennia-old war, with each representing one of several different factions.

[Drama of the Week] Liar Game (7/11-17/2010)

My friend Jimmy who is obsessed with dramas got me to watch the first season of this one and since the second season is almost fully subbed (just have to wait for the movie), I think it's about time I finished off the drama and maybe check out the manga.

Synopsis:

Kanzaki Nao is an honest college student who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help.

[Anime of the Week] Shinesman (7/11-17/2010)

I highly recommend watching the English dub because it pokes fun at the sentai genre of anime as the Japanese version does not. I watched both, its a much more enjoyable 2 episode ova with the English dub. Trust me.
